Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

?? $26-$30/hr DOE

A growing organization in Elk Grove is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support full-cycle AP operations. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-cycle accounts payable processing
    • Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and electronic payments
    • Perform 3-way match (invoice, PO, receiving)
    • Maintain and update vendor records (including W-9s)
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Support month-end close and audit requests
  • Utilize Excel for reconciliations, tracking, and reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'd Degree is required (in any major)
  • 2 or more years of accounts payable experience
  • Strong experience with full-cycle AP and check runs
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
